Atlantic will finally be available to millions of households at no extra cost from Wednesday.

The move comes amid a huge shake-up to TV and streaming in March, with the arrival of .

Sky’s long-running exclusive deal with HBO owner Warner Bros Discovery has come to an end, meaning the network’s biggest shows can be accessed outside of Sky and in the UK.

But HBO shows already established on Sky Atlantic, such as and those listed above, will continue to air on Sky for as long as the series continues.

Sky has already broadened Sky Atlantic’s approach with its own original, including the recent Under Salt Marsh and Gangs of London.

As part of the changes, Sky Atlantic will be available on Virgin Media for the first time ever.

All new and existing Virgin TV 360 and Stream box customers with Sky Entertainment channels (Sky Comedy, Sky Witness, and Sky One) will be able to access Sky Atlantic programming on channel 111.

You’ll also be able to watch Sky Atlantic shows on demand.

“Because the channel has been in existence for a number of years one of the other double benefits for our customers is that they get all these back boxsets,” Virgin Media’s Chief TV Officer David Bouchier told The Sun.

“A personal favourite of mine was the Bafta-award winning , it’s a tough show, but our customers won’t have seen it – we’re in a position to re-promote the hundreds of hours of on-demand programming now that come with that great addition.”

The Virgin TV boss also said the company had chosen not to bundle HBO Max like Sky TV has to provide customers with choice.

“We have it available in our user interface, we have available to subscribe should they wish to do it and it’s their choice they can add it and take it out,” he said.

“We’re not trying to create these mega streaming bundles because that obviously comes at an economic cost to the household.”
