Well-known Nigerian reality TV personality and comedian, Aderombi Adedayo, popularly known as DeeOne, has revealed that celebrity fashion designer Veekee James is his former partner.

According to DAILY POST, the fashion designer recently described the comedian as "unserious" during an interview on the Unfiltered and Extra Spicy with Ify’s Kitchen podcast.
She stated, “For someone like DeeOne, if you are a smart person, you will know that you cannot take him seriously. If you take him seriously, then you are either jobless or something else. I have really not seen him say anything serious.”
In response to Veekee’s controversial statements, DeeOne, who acknowledged their past romantic involvement, remarked, “This is a blast from the past.”
In a video titled “Ruth, you still haven't moved on from our situation” posted on his Instagram page, the comedian emphasized that “I have moved on.”
He cautioned social media users against taking celebrity matters too personally, expressing, “Many people don’t realize this; when I came out of Big Brother Naija in 2018, Ruth and I had something. She’s a great girl, sweet, and that’s the truth. Personally, I don’t like being controlled. There’s no animosity, and it’s not that I didn’t treat her well.”
“Some people in the industry are aware of what I’m saying. Even her husband, Mr. Femi James, knows. I just dislike when people try to control me or send me too many messages. She might be sewing and asking for help, like, ‘Please can you buy this for me, the delivery is outside.’ And I was thinking, what’s going on? I’m a boyfriend, not a house help.”
“Honestly, I wish them the best. I support whatever they are doing because I’m not a hater, and I have moved on. So, I’m unsure where this comment is coming from, but if you’re upset, maybe there’s something you feel I’ve done, and I’m unaware of it. I’m sorry.”
“But from my side, it’s all love. My people, don’t take this personally. There are things in the entertainment industry that you may not know about, and I’m saying this because she is the one who speaks negatively about me,” he concluded.
