The Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, led by US billionaire Elon Musk, has announced the termination of an additional 401 wasteful contracts worth $2.1 billion.
DOGE disclosed this in a statement released via its X account late Thursday night.
According to the department, among the terminated contracts is $228,000 Treasury contract for “Kenya, Uganda, Namibia and Tanzania cruiser vehicles”;.
It added that $5.9 million DoC contract for “environmental consulting support services”; was also terminated.
DOGE noted that the terminations have resulted in savings of $613 million for the country.
“Over the last two days, agencies terminated 401 wasteful contracts with a ceiling value of $2.1B and savings of $613M, including a $276k Treasury contract for a “Kenya program coordinator”;, a $228k Treasury contract for “Kenya, Uganda, Namibia and Tanzania cruiser vehicles”;, a $24k DHS contract for “two day training on equal opportunity in employment”;, a $15k DHS contract for “Out and Equal workplace advocates”;, and a $5.9M DoC contract for “environmental consulting support services”;,”; DOGE stated on X.

DOGE has been mandated by the administration of President Trump to cut waste across federal agencies.
Trump recently expressed satisfaction with DOGE’s efforts, suggesting that the department may remain a permanent fixture in the United States.
