UNIOSUN dismisses vacancy adverts on social media, warns job seekers

The management of Osun State University, UNIOSUN, has distanced itself from a viral advertisement of vacancies for both academic and non-academic staff.

A statement issued by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, said the university’s advertisements are not placed on social media but are published in national dailies.

The statement reads, “The Management of Osun State University has been made aware of a circulating message on various social media platforms indicating that the University is conducting a massive job recruitment drive for academic and non-academic positions.

A statement issued by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, said the university’s advertisements are not placed on social media but are published in national dailies.

The statement reads, “The Management of Osun State University has been made aware of a circulating message on various social media platforms indicating that the University is conducting a massive job recruitment drive for academic and non-academic positions.

“We wish to categorically state that the University is not presently engaged in any recruitment exercise. Therefore, we urge the general public to disregard and dismiss this advertisement as it is likely an outdated notice.

“The fraudulent nature of this advertisement serves as a deceptive ploy to defraud unsuspecting individuals.

“Furthermore, it is evident that anyone re-circulating such an outdated advertisement aims to deceive and misinform the public for their own selfish interests.

“Consequently, the Management of Osun State University wishes to emphasize that there is no ongoing massive recruitment within the University.

“This advertisement is entirely fraudulent and should be disregarded by the general public.”;
