ASTON VILLA chief Monchi has left the club with immediate effect, according to reports.

The decision comes following a poor start to the Premier League season for Villa.

Unai Emery and his team currently sit 18th in the league table with just three points from five games.

They are yet to win a match this season and scored their first goal of the campaign just last week.
