A HISTORIC first trilateral meeting between Ukraine, Russia and the US is set to take place later today out in Abu Dhabi.

Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky over ending the war on Thursday just hours before Trump’s special envoy and Vladimir Putin held “exceptionally substantive” talks in Moscow.

Steve Witkoff flew out to Russia for a marathon overnight meeting with the Kremlin tyrant with Putin reportedly agreeing to the next steps to help bring about an end to the war.

Vlad’s diplomatic adviser Yuri Ushakov said the talks had been “useful in every respect”.

But that Russia will stand firm over territorial issues being the key issue over if a peace deal can be reached.

Putin is demanding Ukraine surrenders all of Donetsk despite Zelensky still holding 20 per cent of land in the ‍wartorn eastern region.

Kyiv say they will not hand over any territory they have bravely defended across the past four years of war.

Despite peace talks appearing to be at their most positive stage yet, Russia has refused to halt their nightly attacks on civilians.

Ukrainians were hit with over 100 drones on Thursday night with 19 striking 12 locations, according to Ukraine‘s air force.
