Former Ukraine player Andriy Polunin has passed away at the age of 55.

The ex-defender suffered a heart attack while participating in a veterans' match in Lutsk.

His former club, Metallist 1925, has expressed their condolences following his passing.

A statement read: “Metalist 1925 extends its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Andriy Viktorovych.
