Major UK Train Station Serving 100,000 Daily Passengers to Close for Six Days, Over Easter Weekend

A HUGE train station that sees 100,000 passengers every day is set to shut for six days over Easter weekend.

The London station is one of the busiest in the country, and has lines up and down the country.

will close from Friday April 3 to Wednesday April 8 for major upgrades to the tracks.

The station, which runs between the English capital and , supplies trains to a number of major stops, including Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Edinburgh.

The line between London and Milton Keynes, however will be shut over this period.

Rail replacement buses are expected to take over between the closed stops.

Stations from north of Milton Keynes will still have running, but they may be busier and face longer journey times.

National Rail has announced “significant changes to train services” as the upgrades take place.

The closure is taking place as part of a wider £400million investment to West Coast Main Line.

This includes the spending of £8.4million on track work, and over £7 million in signalling upgrades.

Euston’s Underground service, which includes the Northern and Victoria lines, will largely continue to run as normal during this period.

The only disruptions to be expected are small line closures on both the Lioness Line and Bakerloo Line on April 4 and 5.

This is not the first time the station has faced closures, with Easter 2025 seeing .

have urged passengers to check their journeys ahead of time.
