FORMER UFC star Dustin Poirier was arrested on a “Public Drunk” charge in Georgia, reports state.
Poirier – who retired from in July 2025 – was booked for the misdemeanour at at 6.38pm, according to TMZ.

But he was reportedly released several hours later at around 10.15pm.
It remains unclear what led up to Poirier’s arrest.
Earlier in the day, the 37-year-old reposted a “Happy ” post his wife shared with her followers on showing the American with his daughter Parker Noelle and son Kingston Cade.
Public drunkenness can carry up to one year in jail as well as a fine if convicted.
Poirier – who won two of his three trilogy fights against – retired after rematch defeat to Max Holloway.
And the former interim lightweight champion has talked down the prospect of returning to the cage.
He has admitted only a grudge fight with or FOURTH McGregor bout could bring him back.
Poirier told the Weighing In podcast about another McGregor fight: “If it was realistic and they called me and said, ‘Hey,’ I would probably get back in the drug-testing protocol and get licensed again, yeah.”
He added: “It’s a different life. I grew up in the fight game, so my whole life was fighting.
“Every day I’d wake up and want to be better, I’d want to work on techniques, and I’d want to get beat up. Now I’m waking up and just being a dad, running business, life’s different.
“It’s good. Some days I wake up and I really feel like this was the right decision, everything’s where it should be. Some days I wake up and I want to fight because I know I can beat these guys still.
“I don’t know if that ever goes. I don’t know if that every leaves. I might be 60 years old thinking the same thing, I don’t know, but I still think I can beat these guys.”
