Wood has seen it all inside the octagon, starting as a bantamweight before moving up to 145lbs.

Achieving a UFC title has been Wood’s primary goal since he embarked on his mixed martial arts journey 16 years ago.

However, his priorities have significantly changed since the birth of his daughters.

In an exclusive interview with SunSport, Wood shared how fatherhood has influenced his perspective on fighting: “It has changed tremendously for the better.

“It has given me a new perspective.

“I no longer desire a Richard Mille watch; instead, I want to buy a playhouse for my little girl in the garden.

“This has definitely altered my outlook. Regarding my fighting career, I now wish to retire earlier.

“I want to retire with my faculties intact; I want to see my girls grow up and be the best father I can be.
