Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou has suggested that “one focus and one target”;; played a key role in his side beating Manchester United to win the Europa League this year.
Postecoglou watched as Spurs defeated Man United 1-0 in the Europa League final on Wednesday night in Bilbao.
The goal was scored by Brennan Johnson in the first half of the encounter.
Speaking after the game, Postecoglou also insisted that “believe”;; played a role in Spurs beating the Red Devils to win a trophy this season.
“I can’t put it into words to be honest. I know I’m at an amazing football club with amazing supporters,”;; Postecoglou said after the game as quoted by NBC Sports.
“It’s no secret it’s been a tough year, but I’ve just had these things inside me the back half of the year â one focus, one target. I just felt this was it.
“To achieve it today... I know what it means to the club, it’s had the tag of a nearly team for a long time. The only way you break that is by winning things, and we did that today,”;; he said.
The 59-year-old added, “I knew I had a massive challenge in front of me, added stress of the injury situation. I have just had this laser focus on, ‘I believe we can win something this year.’”;;
