He backed Grealish’s ability and said there was still time for him to earn Moyes’ trust back again.
Speaking to Betfair , he said: “[Grealish] is a talented maverick. I’m not comparing him with Gazza at all, but he’s got a Gazza stroke, he can produce a piece of genius, and he’s also got a slightly Gazza mentality off the pitch.

“He’s a loveable rogue. Grealish knows what he needs to do to get back in David Moyes’ good books.
“All will be forgiven if he can get back on the pitch and start producing magic and pieces of brilliance that help climb the table.”
However, he admitted the player’s career was over and had been for some time.
He added: “I think Grealish’s England career was sealed a long time ago.
“There are too many others in his position who are playing well, so I don’t expect him to win a recall to the England squad.”
Shearer added that the situation was “not a good look” for Grealish and urged him to focus on football.
The legendary striker said: “Football is such a short career that you have to give it your best shot.
“Look, I get everyone wants to have a good time and I see no harm in having a good time and a fun time when the time is right and having a drink.
“But there is a time and Jack seems to like to party and have a drink. It has got the better of him at times.
“He’s such a likeable character and does a lot for charity. But you also have to understand that football is your main business, and it can’t happen too many times and at the minute it’s not a good look for him.”
Grealish has made five appearances in all competitions for Everton this season.
He was initially a big hit during his first loan spell with the Merseyside club last season before a crushing injury ended his campaign.
Grealish has previously won three Premier League titles with City, as wel as the FA Cup and Champions League.
