Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, has hailed Chelsea target Josko Gvardiol following his display in RB Leipzig’s 3-2 victory over Real Madrid on Tuesday night.
Henry said that Gvardiol is a strong player, adding that Chelsea want to sign him.
Gvardiol scored the opener in Leipzigâs win over Real Madrid and made three tackles during the match, one interception, and four clearances.
The Croatia international also made 73 passes, with a passing accuracy of 94.5% and Henry was impressed by the defenderâs performance against Real Madrid as he lavished praises on the player.
“It is a rare breed to have a centre-back with a left foot. What I like is, and you have to give credit to Croatia and Dinamo Zagreb. They produce players at will. He is strong. An eye for a pass,” Henry said (via Football London).
He added, “Chelsea wants him and I can name a lot of teams. Heâs good at defending and he is good in the air on set-pieces, but more importantly, if you are a left-footed centre-back, then suddenly people come for you.”
