IF you’re desperate for a laundry room but you haven’t got the space, you’ve come to the right place.
One DIY fan has shared how she transformed her grubby shed into a gorgeous laundry room – and she did it all on a budget.
The self-proclaimed “independent woman” who is from Wales and loves DIY, revealed how she turned her shed from drab to fab for just £50 – yes, you heard that correctly.
Posting on social media , the content creator who is known online as ‘The Minimalist,’ shared before, during and after snaps of her shed project , leaving many totally gobsmacked.
Alongside her post, she wrote: “When you decide you need a laundry room, never tell a woman she can’t!
“If you know me, you know I’m DIY obsessed and build, do everything myself, from plumbing to electrics to all woodwork.
“I absolutely love it and it’s what I do on my days off!”
First things first, the “ decluttering counsellor” explained that she “impulsively” cleared her shed, because she “needed” a space to do her laundry.
After giving the shed a clean , instead of getting the walls plastered, she applied masonry paint over them, which made them “pretty smooth.”
She also painted the floors to give the shed a freshen up too.
Once this was done, she made a table using a worktop she nabbed for free from Facebook Marketplace and “random wood” she found in her garden .
Under the table, she installed her washing machine and added baskets she bought from B&M , transforming the shed into the perfect laundry space.
To accessorise her new laundry area, she added plants , mirrors, pampas grass and a geometric rug , adding a trendy boho vibe to the once neglected area.
The woman then confirmed that she was able to keep the costs down and did the project all by herself in her spare time, costing her a total of just £50.
Thrilled with the shed’s new look, she gushed: “Smashed it, never tell me I can’t because I always will.”
