Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap has completed his medical before a summer move to Chelsea.
The Blues activated Delap’s £30 million release clause last week.
Enzo Maresca wants the 22-year-old to be part of his squad to this month’s Club World Cup tournament in the United States.
Delap is now all but confirmed a Chelsea player pending an official announcement, according to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
Romano wrote on X on Monday: “Liam Delap has completed also final part of medical tests at Chelsea and he can be considered new #CFC player.
“£30m move completed from Ipswich.”;
Delap is expected to provide competition for Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu in Chelsea’s attack.
