Transfer: Chelsea rejects Arsenal’s bid for goalkeeper, Freddy Bernal

Published on May 12, 2025 at 06:13 PM

Chelsea have rejected Arsenal’s first bid to sign U-18 English goalkeeper Freddy Bernal.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea did not entertain the bid.

The Blues, according to the report, are keen to keep the young custodian.

However, Arsenal is expected to return with a more enticing bid for Bernal, as they will try to increase their £1.25 million offer.

Bernal is highly rated at Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea remains firm in their stance to keep him in their ranks.

Romano also added that several other clubs are interested in signing the England U-18 goalkeeper.
