Chelsea are keen to rival Arsenal in the race to sign Real Madrid winger, Rodrygo for their manager Enzo Maresca this summer, according to AS.
This is coming after Chelsea reached a deal to from Ipswich Town.
Rodrygo’s future with Real Madrid remains unclear with reports in Spain claiming the 24-year-old has grown unhappy with his role at the the Spanish LaLiga giants.
The former Santos player could still leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
Rodrygo is still awaiting talks with the club’s new manager Xabi Alonso to discuss his role in his squad going forward.
The Brazilian international could be available for £67million this summer transfer window.
Rodrygo has several clubs interested in him from the Premier League, especially Chelsea and Arsenal.
Chelsea are keen to strengthen Maresca’s squad after they secured qualification for next season’s Champions League and also won the UEFA Europa Conference League.
