Arsenal have confirmed that Karl Hein has joined Bundesliga club Werder Bremen on a season-long loan.

The Gunners made this known in post via their website on Friday.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper joined the Premier League North London club in 2018.

His first-team debut came in November 2022, when Arsenal played Brighton & Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup third round.

Meanwhile, in another development, Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick has confirmed that midfielder Marc Casado has refused to leave Camp Nou this summer transfer window.

Flick spoke to reporters at his pre-match press conference ahead of Barcelona’s LaLiga clash with Levante on Saturday night.

“He doesn’t want to leave, and I also want to keep him,” Flick said of Casado.

“It’s going to be a difficult season, and we need all the players. He gives us confidence.”
