Transfer: Ajibade to decide new club after WAFCON 2024

Published on June 09, 2025 at 07:21 AM

Super Falcons striker, Rasheedat Ajibade will make a decision on her future after the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Ajibade will leave Spanish Liga F club, Atletico Madrid at the end of this month, ending her four-year stay at the club.

The 25-year-old made her final appearance for Atletico against Barcelona on Saturday.

She has reportedly received an offer from a club in the American National Women’s Soccer League, NWSL.

Ajibade has however decided to put all transfer talks on hold until after the WAFCON 2024 finals.

The winger will hope to lead Nigeria to win a record-extending tenth title in Morocco.

Justine Madugu’s side will face Tunisia, Botswana and Algeria in Group B at the competition.
