A MATHS professor reckons he can predict The Traitors final using “game theory” – and is backing a Faithfuls win.

Dr Sam Brzezicki, a lecturer at Imperial College London, believes under-fire will emerge victorious in the show’s final on Friday.

He teaches game theory, which considers how people are likely to act and the probability of different results.

It is used to call elections and conduct business negotiations.

Calculations say how people will behave based on their character and previous decisions, or those of similar people.

Dr Brzezicki said: “We can make good predictions if people act how you expect.

“But humans are extremely unpredictable and occasionally do something completely nonsensical, like did when she at the Round Table.

“The middle is the right place to be at this stage in the game.

“You want to be suspicious but not overly so, so the Traitors keep you in.

“If you are very Faithful it’s a disadvantage because anything you say will be believed so you get killed.”

Before yesterday’s episode, Dr Brzezicki said the fate of the game rests in the hands of “powerful” .

But if she finally blows up, Faithfuls will win.
