Two men in their 20s were injured in the blade fight, but have since been released from hospital and taken into custody.
The pair were arrested on suspicion of affray, while another man in his 50s was also arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.
Police rushed to Streatham Common station in South London after receiving reports of a knife fight at around 11.25am this morning.
The horrific altercation led to significant disruption on major train lines.
Thameslink and Southern rail services in Central and South London were cancelled or significantly delayed in the afternoon.
British Transport Police have urged anyone with information about the altercation to come forward.
It said: “Anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 202 of 17 May.”
