A WOMAN’S body has been discovered in a park today, as a massive emergency response rushed to the scene.

A white tent has been set up in Roath Park as police and ambulances respond to the discovery of the dead woman.

South Wales confirmed the body of a woman was recovered, and said investigations were ongoing.

Ambulances and police vehicles lined the road by the lake in Roath Park this morning, as there was a significant emergency presence at the scene.

The area was cordoned off with police tape, and a white tent set up on the grass.

A Police spokesman said: “The body of a woman was recovered from the water in Roath Park, Cardiff, on Sunday following a report made at around 8.30am.

“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and inquiries into the circumstances leading up to her death are ongoing.

“Her next of kin have been informed and formal identification is due to take place later on Sunday.”
