Tragically, two men have lost their lives following a horrific road traffic collision involving two vehicles.
Cops and emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 6 PM on Saturday when a black A4 and a blue T-Roc collided in East Dorset.
The crash occurred on the B3078 near the Lumber Lane junction in Knowlton and resulted in fatalities.
A 24-year-old man and a 57-year-old man, both residents of Poole, were pronounced dead at the scene, and their families have been notified.
According to Dorset Police, there were no passengers in either vehicle.
Road closures are currently in effect as officers continue their investigation at the site.
Sergeant Richard Stroud from the Roads Policing Team expressed, “Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the two individuals who sadly passed away during this extremely challenging time.
“We are actively conducting inquiries to determine the full circumstances surrounding this incident.
“I urge any witnesses who have not yet contacted the police to please reach out to us.
“Additionally, I request that anyone who was driving in the area around the relevant timeframe check their dashcam footage to see if they captured anything that could aid our investigation.
“Lastly, I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures. We recognize that this causes considerable disruption, but it is essential to allow emergency services to respond and for our officers to conduct a thorough examination of the scene.”
