In his initial clip, he appeared fit at a swimming pool before transitioning to a video of him stepping out of a shower, wrapping a towel around his waist while revealing his fuller stomach.

In his caption, the 40-year-old stated: “Feeling like you’re at rock bottom,” adding, “Nobody prepares you for how challenging it is to go from this … to here.”

Charlie further explained that he had “lost his sense of direction in life” in another concerning message.

The alum has since shared another TikTok video to elaborate on his feelings.

In the video, Charlie was seen sitting on a sofa wearing a striped top, baseball cap, and a bandage on his nose.

He informed viewers that he had received an outpouring of well wishes, saying: “It was never about having abs and losing abs.

“It was more about demonstrating that I used to maintain a healthy relationship with my mind and would do the right things to feel good.

“This year, in particular, I have let everything spiral.

“I have lost all sense of self-control, purpose, and direction, which has led to significant self-sabotage, and I’ve neglected my self-care, feeling a rebellion against looking after myself.

“But I dislike this feeling, and it must change.”

He then stated that he would take responsibility for moving forward.

BODY IMAGE WOES

Charlie had previously discussed his body image “despair” following a botched nose job and his struggles with body dysmorphia.

In 2022, the reality TV star told health committee MPs that he was left in the “depths of despair” due to these challenges.

TOWIE STARS SPIN-OFF

With the announcement that TOWIE will return in 2025 for two new series, it's good news for some former ITVBE stars as well.

The title of their new show is yet to be confirmed.

The show will follow the success of their Baby Steps series.

He emphasized that young children should be educated early on not to trust the pictures and lifestyles they encounter online on platforms like Instagram.

Charlie, who departed from The Only Way is Essex in 2017, stated: “The number of times you see someone who has been altered — it becomes difficult to discern what’s real anymore.

“If we consider the Kardashian lifestyle, it represents an aspirational world where one can earn significant money and look incredible.

“But we must be realistic — that’s a unique situation the average person will never experience.”

He exclusively told The Sun last year how being in the spotlight has affected him.

Charlie joined in 2012 and appeared on the program for six series.
