WE seldom see world class cuisine in the lower leagues of English football, but Tooting & Mitcham might have just raised the bar.
Fans could be forgiven for thinking images of a true gourmet meal have been circulating on social media after a goer posted the club’s jerk chicken, plantain and rice.

Remarkably, the social media user has claimed that the slap-up meal to give you a happy half-time only costs £6.
This has been disputed a fair amount in the replies, but even so, the quality of meal looks far beyond your standard hot dog or cheeseburger offering.
The food is available at The Shak Grill, a Jamaican cuisine found at the club’s ground.
One user wrote: “£6 for all that? I’d be leaving with a bag full and freeze them for later.”
Another commented: “Get u a single slice of dominos pizza at the emirates for £6.”
A third posted: “The greatest £6 ever spent surely it is. I’d like to see someone top it.”
A fourth added: “Best scran I’ve ever seen at a game.”
Tooting and Mitcham currently play in England‘s ninth tier but their stadium food is looking pretty Premier League standard right now.
There are comments suggesting this food has been circulating on social media for a few years now and it is now sold for higher than £6.
Still, hard to argue with the quality of the food on display at a club where used to call home.
