The nasty simultaneous poke came just as the long-time rivals were throwing some serious heat.
And in light of the disappointing ending, the UFC brass will pit the pair against one another next year.
In the post-fight press conference, White said: “It’s total pain in the ass but yes [we’ll book the rematch].
“They’re both in shape, other than whatever’s wrong with his eye.
“Both guys are not injured. As soon as possible.”
Gane, 35, lived up to fans’ expectations that he’d be the toughest test of his career.
And White believes the success he had against the Brit will make their rematch even bigger.
He said: “It’s unfortunate that it ended the way that it did.
“And yes, I think that there probably will be a lot more interest after they saw [what Ciryl did].
“He had Tom bloodied up and Tom didn’t want to continue in the fight.
“The rematch is very interesting.”
Aspinall, 32, was taken to the hospital after an initial check-up from the UFC’s medical staff.
But he made sure to vent his frustrations before he made his way out of the octagon.
He fumed: “I’ve just got f***ing knuckle deep in the eye ball.
“What the f**k? Why are you booing? What am I supposed to do about it?
“I didn’t do the f***ing poke. I can’t see. The fight was just getting going. Complete bulls**t. I’m p***ed off. I can hardly open my eye.
“Look, look. Look at this, look at this. F***ing double poke. Both eyeballs. Yeah, it was double. It was double.”
