Tinubu’s 260 palliative projects nationwide 90% completed — Minister, Umahi

The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, said the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has achieved 90 percent completion of 260 palliative projects nationwide worth N208 billion.

Umahi disclosed this at the 2025 ministerial briefings in Abuja on Friday.

According to him, the Tinubu administration is committed to completing its 64 new road projects and four legacy projects across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

He noted that of the projects carried out nationwide, the government has completed 19 in the last 23 months.

Umahi added that infrastructure development, such as the construction of roads and bridges, is key to Nigeria’s economic growth.

“Mr. President, 260 palliative projects have been completed to 90 percent, worth N208 billion. The road and bridge is the major sector that grows the gross domestic product and economy.

“I commend the president for his commitment to infrastructure development,”;; he stated.
