A PREGNANT mum-of-two has shared how she transformed her front room with stick-on laminate flooring.
Angel Fletcher, from the UK, took to social media to share the savvy buy that was so easy to do that she did it while 24 weeks .
In the clip, she said: “I’m 24 weeks and I’m also a single mum to these two beautiful boys, with my third on the way.
“That being said, baby on the way means the needs sorting out.”
Angel revealed that she had a dog for a little while but when he came to her, he was badly toilet-trained, so had ruined her carpets.
On top of that, it turned out one of her children were also allergic so she had to make the tough decision to rehome the pup.
But now he was gone and no more accidents were going to happen, she decided that her needed an update.
Angel said she found stick-on laminate flooring from shop and decided to give it a go.
A pack that covers 10mx10m cost £34 making it a budget-friendly option.
She picked the white wood option from the brand Living and Home and quickly got to work by ripping up her old carpet.
She added: “Truth be told, I know that the carpet is in a really horrific state and I’m probably gonna get a little bit of hate and judgment for that and that is absolutely fine.
“I even had professional cleaners come in and give it a go and the stains were just not budging.”
Angel had a friend come over to help her get up the carpet and she was horrified by the smell that came from it.
“I’m not gonna lie guys, the smell underneath that carpet, oh my f**king days. My eyes were literally watering,” she said.
Angel said she also got rid of the underlay as it smelt like dog wee and used bleach on the concrete to get rid of the smell and stains.
Now it was time to finally get on with laying the new flooring.
Even Angel couldn’t believe how easy it was as she peeled the stick-off back and placed it down onto the floor.
She started in the centre of the room and made her way out which she said made the process a lot easier and after a few hours, she was finished.
“I love it so, so much. It feels so clean and fresh. And I feel so happy that the kids have just been running around and I haven’t got to worry about all the things sticking out of the floor. And I’m just so beyond happy with it,” she said.
The clip went viral on her TikTok account @ angelfletcherbackup with over 200k views and 12k likes.
People were seriously impressed with her DIY front-room makeover.
