THREE more channels are set to cease broadcasting tomorrow after several years on-air.

The move will mean there are even fewer music channels on TV now, following the at the end of last year.

That’s 80s, That’s Oldies and That’s Melody will all shut down on Saturday (February 28).

The trio have been around in various guises since 2023.

They were available on , and ‘s satellite services.

The channels are owned by That’s TV.

It operates three other channels – That’s TV, That’s TV 2 and That’s TV 3 – which are unaffected by the closures.

And on-screen message has warned viewers of the imminent changes, saying: “This service closes 28 Feb. The music continues on That’s TV channels.”

The shake-up will leave very few traditional music channels left on TV, with the last remaining operated by That’s What I Call Music.

Music channels have declined massively in popularity from the heyday 90s and 00s due to YouTube and streaming.

Channel 4 it owns back in the summer of 2024.

This included 4Music, The Box, Kiss and Magic and Kerrang!.

MTV closed its music channels at the end of 2025 leaving only its flagship channel which airs reality TV programmes.

It’s almost certain we’ll see more channel changes to come in 2026.

Surely the +1 channels will start to disappear.

In the age of streaming, catching up an hour later seems extremely redundant.

There will probably be some standard definition (SD) channels scraped to make way for HD only too.

Sky recently closed Sky Showcase and Sky Max, but , so we can expect more consolidation too.
