THE MOLOTOVS have started work on the follow-up to their No3 debut album Wasted On Youth.

In an exclusive chat from the road, where they are on tour with Yungblud, brother and sister revealed they’re raring to go.

Matt said: “We’ve got an album in the making.

“We just did some getting-the-songs-together rehearsals for it.

“We’ve been doing a lot of demos for the past month.

“Hopefully we’ll be recording it in the next month or so.

“But it’s bare bones at the moment.

“We haven’t even chosen the track listing, we haven’t even finished all the songs.

“We haven’t even taught the band the rest of the songs.

“They only know eight.”

Teasing the concept, Matt explained: “It’s about how we interpret this modern metropolis and I guess the disconnection that young people feel.

“The decline, in a way, but it’s also hopeful.

“We’re not going to wallow in it, we always try to leave it on an optimistic note.”

Issey and Matt will kick off their own headline tour, Welcome To Urbia, in September.

Issey said: “We’re going all around the UK and we’re doing two dates at Kentish Town Forum, which is our home town.

“We’re doing bigger venues than we’ve ever done.”
