Ten Hag could get medal if Man Utd win Europa League trophy

Published on May 06, 2025 at 09:15 PM

Manchester United could honour Erik ten Hag with a medal if the team goes on to win the Europa League title, Goal reports.

United are on the brink of qualifying for the final, having beaten Athletic Bilbao 3–0 in the first leg of their semi-final.

The second leg of the tie will be played at Old Trafford this Thursday.

The Red Devils could face Tottenham Hotspur in the final and, if victorious, would receive 50 medals.

This would allow them the option of presenting medals to staff members no longer at the club.

Ten Hag was in charge at the beginning of United’s Europa League campaign, overseeing three draws in the group stage before being replaced by Rúben Amorim.

The club may choose to acknowledge his contribution by awarding him one of the spare medals.
