IRISH NECTAR (3.39 Leicester, nap)
Can go down well at Leicester. This five-year-old has dropped to a weight that makes him a real danger and he has been knocking on the door. He went close at Kempton before returning to turf at Pontefract where he was a close-up fourth. This trip suits and he looks a fair price.
BLUE TOPAZ (1.45 Hereford, nb)
Has taken a while to get the hang of thngs and ran her best race over hurdles when third at Sedgefield latest. This trip suits as does quick ground.
NEW YEAR’S EVE (3.04 Leicester, treble)
Looked very green when fifth on debut at Haydock last month. She should have learned a lot from that experience and is bred to be better than this level for William Haggas.
