A TEENAGER has been charged with attempted murder after a man sustained “serious injuries” during an alleged shooting.

Emergency crews were dispatched to Smiths Avenue in the Marsh area shortly after 8 PM on December 1.
After reportedly being shot twice, the victim was located by police on the nearby New Hey Road and subsequently rushed to the hospital.
He was reported to be in a “serious condition,” but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
On Saturday, four men were arrested from addresses in nearby Bradford, Brighouse, and Halifax.
Authorities have since confirmed that Nathaniel Collins, 19, has been charged with one count of attempted murder.
The three other men arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on bail as the investigation continues.
Collins is scheduled to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court tomorrow.
The police stated: “A man has now been charged as part of the investigation into a firearms discharge on Smiths Avenue in the Marsh area of Huddersfield on December 1.
“Nathaniel Collins, of St Pauls Road, Manningham, is charged with one count of attempted murder.
“The 19-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court tomorrow.
“Three other men who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on bail while inquiries continue.”
Detective Inspector Suzanne Hall, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, confirmed that it is being treated as a “targeted attack.”
She previously stated: “We understand the concern that this incident will cause given that someone has been injured in a firearms incident.
“We are pursuing all available lines of inquiry to ensure that those involved are apprehended and any weapons used are recovered and removed from our streets.
“Any use of a firearm is something we take extremely seriously. This is being treated as a targeted attack.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed the events surrounding the firearms discharge to please come forward.
“Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could greatly assist our investigations.”
