Police cordon after crash on Sheffield Road in HolmfirthCredit: MEN MediaA TEENAGER has tragically died in a horrific three-car crash, with cops arresting three other men in relation to the incident.
The 19-year-old man suffered serious head injuries in the collision on Wednesday nigh, and died in hospital yesterday.
It is believed he was a passenger in a silver Skoda Fabia, which ran off the road and hit a wall in Holmfirth, .
were called to the scene of the crash at 10.11pm on Wednesday.
The other two cars, a white Skoda Fabia and blue BMW are believed to have been travelling in convoy with the crashed car.
The drivers of the three cars were arrested at the scene on suspicion of while over the prescribed limit of and causing serious injury through dangerous driving.
All aged 19, the three men have now been released on bail pending further enquiries as police launch a probe into the crash.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed a man died after a serious road traffic collision in Holmfirth earlier this week.
The force said: “Officers were called at 10.11pm on 11 February to Sheffield Road, Jackson Bridge to reports a silver Skoda Fabia had left the road and collided with a wall.
“The passenger of the vehicle a 19 year old man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries. He sadly died from his injuries yesterday.
“Three 19 year old men were arrested at the time of the collision and have since been bailed pending further enquiries.”
Police urged anyone with information on the collision, including witnesses, to come forward.
