TASKMASTER has unveiled its full line-up for series 22, with a Great British Bake Off favourite and a popular Channel 4 comedian among the stars signing up.

The hit comedy show is set to welcome a fresh batch of famous faces as they take on ‘ bizarre challenges in the battle to be crowned champion.

The new batch of contestants promises plenty of chaos, comedy and unexpected moments as they attempt to impress Taskmaster Greg Davies and his long-suffering assistant .

Among the names joining the new series are and , two of the biggest comedy stars ever to take part in the show.

Former host Matt is expected to bring his trademark humour and unpredictability to the challenges, while IT Crowd favourite Richard is already being tipped by fans as a potential frontrunner thanks to his quick wit and deadpan style.

Also joining the line-up are Edinburgh Fringe favourite Chloe Petts, comedian and writer Isy Suttie — who many viewers will recognise from Peep Show — and acclaimed ventriloquist Nina Conti.

The eclectic cast is expected to bring a mix of stand-up, acting and improvisational talent to the new series, making it one of the show’s most hotly anticipated line-ups yet.

Fans have already shared their excitement online, with many praising the mix of comedians, presenters and TV personalities joining the latest series.

Taking to X, one fan wrote: “Wow what a lineup for next series #taskmaster“.

Another added: “Yay! Richard Ayoade and Matt Lucas coming to #Taskmaster.”

teased that the comics have “willingly submitted themselves to the toughest physical and mental examination on television.

“Like so many before them, they all believe they can impress the Taskmaster, but only one can take home the glory.”

The group will be put through their paces by Greg Davies and his assistant Alex Horne, who will “score and mark with the utmost scrutiny to determine who will emerge victorious” and eventually hold the trophy and be named a Taskmaster Champion.

Taskmaster airs two seasons per year, so fans can expect to see Lucas, Ayoade, Petts, Conti, and Suttie in the house sometime in the fall.
