Officers arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with the incident last month.
The victim was discovered after 10:30 AM on Skene Street in the Granite City.
An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were dispatched, and the man was taken to the hospital.
A cordon was established, and part of the pavement in the busy area was closed off.
Uniformed officers were seen standing outside a building on the street.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated: “A man has been charged in connection with an attempted murder in Aberdeen.
“At approximately 10:40 AM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, officers responded to a report of a 42-year-old man found seriously injured in the Skene Street area.
“Emergency services arrived, and he was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Meanwhile, police in Dundee initiated a murder investigation after a grandmother was found deceased in the city.
Lili Stojanova, 54, was discovered unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.
In a statement, her family expressed: “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Lili, a treasured mother, grandmother, daughter, and a woman of exceptional talent.
“Her loss is a tragedy, and it is something our family is struggling to understand.
A 42-year-old man was arrested in connection with this incident on Saturday, December 6, and he appeared in court last week.
