SUNDERLAND are set to complete a swoop for Belgian World Cup star Thomas Meunier.
The defender, a free agent following the expiration of his Lille deal, touched down in the North East on Tuesday to undergo a medical.

Meunier has been a regular for Lille over the past two years since his arrival in Ligue 1 from Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.
The experienced ace previously spent four years at German giants Borussia Dortmund and four at Paris Saint-Germain, where he was a three-time title winner.
Meunier’s arrival is another coup for boss Regis Le Bris following last season’s success.
And he will bolster the defensive ranks as Sunderland prepare for their Europa League adventure having finished seventh in their first season back in the Prem after promotion.
The Meunier signing also comes days after influential skipper .
New Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso, who managed the Swiss midfielder at Leverkusen, wanted a reunion at Stamford Bridge.
