EASTENDERS fans are going to get episodes a day early on iPlayer this week, amid the BBC One schedule changes.

Episodes will run a day earlier on iPlayer, with new episodes dropping at 6am each day before later airing on TV at 7.30pm.

The Beeb’s soap stalwart has been bumped from the schedule on one of its normal nights, but an extra installment has been added to make up for it.

On Wednesday, July 15, England’s against Argentina will be shown on .

doesn’t usually air on Fridays, but to make up for Wednesday’s missed episode, the is making an exception.

So, in good for viewers, this means that fans will be able to watch Friday’s episode on demand 24 hours earlier than it is being shown live.

The shake up comes as and the World Cup continue to disrupt the soap schedule, with and also experiencing changes to the norm.

From double bills to no new episodes, soap fans have had to keep a close eye on the schedule in recent weeks to get their fix.

And it seems viewers are still questioning what is going on, as EastEnders airs on iPlayer earlier than it airs live.

Taking to X, one person observed: “This means the Friday episode will have been available on iplayer for over 24 hours before people view on it on TV.”

Another person questioned: “Why not just match the TV schedule.”

Others suggested that this will surely be the final week of disruptions, with Wimbledon having already ended and the World Cup set to wrap up on Sunday 19 July.

It comes as EastEnders fans are convinced they have worked out when Michelle Ryan’s final scenes as Zoe Slater will air.

The Sun just revealed that the character had been axed from Albert Square for good as she’s set to be killed off , just a year after actress Michelle returned to the role.

While soap bosses have confirmed the exit, it has so far only been revealed that she will head off ‘later this year’ – without any dates given.

But fans are convinced her exit isn’t far off, and could air in late August – early September.

After we revealed that Michelle filmed her final scenes last month, a fan took to to explain: “I think Eastenders is filmed about three months in advance, around that period of time.

“So, it can’t be Christmas and it definately can’t be New Year.”

The user continued that they were guessing the exit is coming in the next two months due to filming timelines.

“I’m thinking September, or August, maybe August,” they said, adding that actors Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace had also been pictured on set in outfits that looked like they were at a funeral, one which could be Zoe’s.

The user captioned their video: “Zoe’s exit in August/September? Michelle filmed final scenes last month. Shane and Jessie filmed funeral last month?”

Agreeing in the comment section, another user said: “If she’s already filmed it she’ll be gone by end of August.”

Another speculated: “They might do the funeral and everything in September and then the killer reveal at Christmas time”.
