SUNDERLAND fans almost spilled onto the Stadium of Light pitch after an advertising hoarding collapsed during their clash with Chelsea.

The incident happened in the 50th minute of the match, which the Black Cats were leading 2-0 at the time.

Malo Gusto’s own goal was the catalyst for several Sunderland fans in the pitch-side tier going bananas.

And their exuberant celebrations led to the advertising hoarding collapsing.

Fans spilled out from the stands and came within a whisker of the touchline.

Security, thankfully, got on top of the situation and ushered the jubliant fans back to their seats.
