Marched Away
For the past two years, the streets of Britain have reluctantly hosted what seems to be an almost weekly display of hate.
Individuals waving Palestinian flags frequently call for the death of Jews, advocate for the globalisation of intifada, and chant the terrorist battle cry “from the river to the sea”.

Undoubtedly, the Government has displayed near-criminal complacency while these marches have fueled a rise in antisemitism, culminating in last week’s terrorist attack on a Manchester synagogue.
It is a welcome, albeit long-overdue, decision by the Home Secretary to grant police increased powers to impose conditions on repeat demonstrations.
No one wants to deny the legitimate right to protest peacefully.
However, Shabana Mahmood also has a responsibility to safeguard the rights of people to walk through their neighborhoods without fear of intimidation.
It is also outrageous that individuals wearing stab-proof vests now have to guard synagogues so others can pray in relative safety.
While the marchers may include uninformed teenagers and well-meaning but naive older individuals, it is evident that they are largely dominated by an extremist group with a blind hatred of Jews.
Nearly 500 arrests made at Saturday’s march serve as further proof that their behavior has long crossed the line.
This could be a pivotal moment for the Home Secretary, as hard-left activists threaten a “major escalation” in response to her actions.
She must remain resolute and demonstrate that Britain will not be governed by the mob.
Had Their Phil
THEY will be shocked at the Queen Vic when they hear about the latest woke crackdown at the BBC.
Executives want to prohibit its most famous stars from using affectionate terms like “mate” or “hun”.
In what can only be seen as an overreaction to a series of scandals, staff are being instructed to use formal language and undergo anti-sexual harassment training.
Fortunately, the rules don’t extend to the scripts of popular shows like EastEnders; otherwise, they would have to place a trigger warning on every episode.
The Beeb should abandon this ridiculous idea.
Or as Phil Mitchell might say: “Leave it out, will ya, mate.”
Amazing Grace
GRACE O’Malley-Kumar aspired to save lives by becoming a doctor.
However, she sacrificed her own life at just 19, attempting to save her friend Barnaby Webber from a brutal knife attacker.
It is a fitting tribute that the medical student’s bravery will be honored with a posthumous George Medal, one of the highest civilian awards for heroism.
This award is given for “acts of great bravery” and “conspicuous gallantry”.
Every word applies to the remarkable Grace.
