Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, ex-military Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, rtd, former Senate President Iyorchia Ayu and other dignitaries would unveil a book on ex-governor of Kebbi State, Sule Lamido on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
This was disclosed at a press conference on Tuesday in Abuja by the senator representing Jigawa South, Mustapha Khabeeb, who is the chairman of the event.
According to him, the event scheduled in Abuja would reveal to Nigerians details on the contribution of Sule Lamido to the country’s political landscape.
“Many other colleagues of his have since switched camps, some several. Sule Lamido, Muhammadu Abubakar Rimi, and Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, the book reviewer, all played key roles at the Jos Convention, which produced Obasanjo as the presidential candidate and later a President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1999,”; he stated.
Sule Lamido was a former Nigerian foreign affairs minister between 1999 and 2003 and governor of Jigawa State between 2007 and 2015.
