STRICTLY Come Dancing has been sensationally snubbed by the TV Baftas — receiving zero nominations.
BBC One’s jewel in the crown got a big fat zero from the judges for the first time in eight years, and it comes after a string of and

It was left out of the Entertainment Programme category, despite always featuring from 2019, and winning it as recently as 2024.
And the ballroom show is not even in the running for the Memorable Moment gong, which it has won twice in the past four years.
Bafta’s surprise decision follows the departure of long-standing hosts and , and a deluge of bad publicity, including a bullying probe.
drama Adolescence has been shortlisted for 11 gongs while BBC One’s got five nominations in the list released yesterday.
An industry insider said: “This is a spectacular turn of events for which was flying high at the just two years ago, as the show was also celebrating its 20th birthday.
“But since then it’s become mired in scandal and now, of course, two of its greatest assets – Tess and Claudia – are leaving and it feels like there’s less to celebrate about the show.”
Elsewhere, juggernaut I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! was also snubbed from any category.
It was the same story for the network’s and , neither even making it on to the Daytime nominations list.
Meanwhile, Aimee Lou Wood or Erin Doherty could take home the Leading Actress and Supporting Actress gongs as they are nominated in both categories for different shows — a first for the Baftas.
Aimee, 32, is up for Leading Actress for BBC comedy-drama Film Club — and Supporting Actress for edgy drama .
Erin, 33, is nominated for the Leading Actress gong for A Thousand Blows on Disney+, as well as Supporting Actress award for Adolescence.

The groundbreaking drama, which has already swept the board at other major awards ceremonies, has dominated the Bafta nominations with 11, including for Best Actor.
Next, with seven nominations, is gritty period epic A Thousand Blows.
It also stars Graham, and James Nelson-Joyce, who is also in the Best Actor category for his performance in BBC One’s crime drama This City is Ours.
Six nominations apiece go to Disney+ spin-off Andor, and Trespasses, the drama about a romance across the dividing lines of religion in Northern Ireland.

THERE’S a continued swing in the Bafta TV nominations away from the traditional providers towards online services and streamers.
Of the 121 nominations in the main categories, 43 came from streamers or non-terrestrial TV providers and catch-up services.
Netflix dominates, largely because of Adolescence with 11 nominations, but it also gave us The Diplomat, Toxic Town, Grenfell: Uncovered, Surviving Black Hawk Down and Squid Game: The Challenge.
Disney+ is also celebrating as A Thousand Blows has the second highest number of nominations with seven.
After two series, it is seen as a jewel in the crown for the service.
Prime Video has had a bumper year with their big hit Last One Laughing being nominated in three categories.
Apple TV has three acclaimed dramas nominated in the International category.
It also has nominations for Taron Egerton’s performance in the thriller Smoke and for two documentary series.
Sky has nods for children’s shows, entertainment, documentaries and dramas.
And the BBC’s iPlayer streaming service has three of its own productions nominated.
However the BBC continues to dominate among the traditional channels.
BBC One’s Blue Lights is up for Best Drama while Michael McIntyre’s Big Show is in the running for Best Entertainment show, as is Prime Video’s breakout hit of 2025, Last One Laughing.
The awards will be handed out on May 10 at London’s Royal Festival Hall in one of television’s most glittering and prestigious events.
Members of the public have also been invited to vote on the Memorable Moment Award, from a shortlist of six.
They include , cops being warned of an ambush plot in Blue Lights, and Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade’s speed date on Last One Laughing.
Strictly, which was won last year by ex-footie star Karen Carney and pro dancer Carlos Gu, failed to make the most memorable list.
It won it in 2022 with deaf actress Rose Ayling-Ellis’s “Silent Dance” and again last year with blind comic Chris McCausland’s waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone.
Other TV Bafta nominees include Amanda Holden and Alan Carr, up for the Entertainment Performance award for their Spanish Job renovation show on .
That sees them go up against Bob Mortimer on Last One Laughing and Claudia Winkleman for The Celebrity Traitors.
ITV’s has been left out of the nominations for Best Soap this year, with rivals , and on the list.
It comes after Emmerdale last year was forced to make a shock withdrawal.
The soap won acclaim for its handling of a domestic violence storyline then pulled out after writer Martin Fustes pleaded guilty to assaulting his girlfriend.
Jane Millichip, CEO of BAFTA, said: “2025 has been an exceptional year for , reflected in 124 nominated programmes that highlight the strength and originality of British storytelling.”
She said it demonstrates a “medium at its creative peak”, adding: “It’s especially exciting to see so many first-time performance nominees, showcasing the vibrant new talent shaping the future of our industry.”
