STACEY Solomon has revealed the real reason she quit singing after finding fame on The X Factor.
The star, 36, opened up on the secret “trauma” she has from the show and the “blackouts” she experienced whilst performing.

Revealing all on Radio 2 with DJ and radio presenter , the beloved opened up on the “anxiety” she experienced every time she had to get on stage and perform.
When asked by Scott, “Would you ever perform professionally again?” simply confirmed: “No. No way.”

“I’ve got the shivers just thinking about it.
“My mouth would go like sand and my lips would turn inside out.”

“I would completely black out – come back off [stage], and be like, I don’t even remember what I just did.”

Stacey recognised that she would be left questioning: “Did I get the words right? Did I sing in tune?
“That’s how nervous I was and I don’t think I ever put myself through that again.”
Despite waving goodbye to a singing career, the star expressed: “My dad used to say to me, ‘Don’t say no, you will get opportunities in and just go for it. Work your butt off, if you love it, never stop, just keep going,’ and I think I’ve always adopted that mentality.
“Whenever anyone’s giving me an opportunity and I’ve been privileged to get opportunities, I’ve just been like, right, come on, then, let’s do it, we’ll go for it.”
