A SPRINGWATCH presenter has welcomed her first baby as she shared an adorable picture of her newborn.

, 37, who is also known for her work on CBBC, revealed her happy news and said that she was looking forward to a “lifetime of adventures”.

Announcing her baby news, Maddie shared a sweet snap of herself cradling her newborn, with partner Dominic Walliman next to her.

Posting on , the TV star, who was , wrote next to the adorable photo: “Welcome to the world little one.

“Both Mum and Dad are completely smitten with our gorgeous girl.

“She kept us waiting, but every second was utterly worth it.

Maddie’s followers rushed to show their support for her new arrival.

Taking to the comments, one said: “Ahhh a little girl 💕 Congratulations to you both x hope you’re all ok!”

Another wrote: “Congratulations!!! Enjoy absolutely every second with her, they grow up so fast.”

Maddie and star Dominic announced last November they were expecting their first child together.

“We really tried to make a cute announcement video…but we just got the giggles!” the thrilled star told fans.

Over the years, Maddie has seen her star soar on TV thanks to her work with the .

She is known for being part of the Team, hosting their Wild Academy which is aimed at schools and children.

The Bafta-winning television presenter is also famous for her CBeebies series, Maddie’s Do You Know?.

Along with her TV work she is also an author and has also performed in live science shows and pantomimes across the UK.

Her production Maddie Moate’s Very Curious Christmas has had successful runs at the Apollo and Garrick Theatres in London’s West End.
