It has now been revealed that the former popstar will tie the knot at The Country House Cumbria.
The lavish venue is owned by West End performer Ben Forster, who has been close friends with Mel since they co-starred in the 2013 production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
The rural 19th-century estate is hidden within the countryside and is the perfect venue for an intimate wedding.
According to The Daily Mail , sources have revealed that the small affair will have the Spice Girls in attendance.
, and will be amongst the guests, which were to include and David Beckham but they are currently in the US for the World Cup.
The source said: “Mel and Chris wanted an understated wedding, she didn’t want a big flashy day but something smaller and very classy.
“Mel swore she would never get married having a big do wasn’t really for her.
“It is the perfect venue for them, totally out of the way but in the most beautiful place.
“Victoria won’t be there but she loves Mel, and she will have made sure that she sends a beautiful present.
“It is strange that Mel decided to get married on the weekend of the World Cup final but it works for them.”

The venue has been described as the “perfect setting for an elopement, small, sophisticated wedding”, which is bang on for Mel’s dream wedding.
The impressive house which is located in the centre of a Cumbrian village is surrounded by waterfalls, rivers and an expansive country landscape.
It has six lavish en-suite bedrooms as well as “impressive living spaces”.
The house also features a massive lawn which is expected to be where guests will mingle and celebrate after the ceremony.
Alongside Forster the venue is owned by property developer Paul Longman, the pair spent years transforming the property into a luxury retreat.
Mel is the last of the girls from the pop group to tie the knot, having met back in 2023 on celeb dating app Raya.
Mel and Chris have kept a lot of their romance under wraps with fans desperate to know about her relationship with the Aussie star.
They told The Times back in January: “It’s something I didn’t think would be part of my story [marriage], but I’m so happy with Chris.
“Maybe it is something that will be in my life.”
