Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), along with activist politician Omoyele Sowore, have been released from Kuje Prison after fulfilling their bail conditions.
Kanu’s brother, Prince Emmanuel, was also released from prison on Monday, together with others who were arrested for taking part in the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest in Abuja.
Sowore, who led the demonstrations, was later apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force when he attended the Federal High Court in Abuja for Nnamdi Kanu’s trial.
They were brought before a Magistrate Court in the Kuje Area Council, which ultimately granted them bail on Friday.
In a video shared by SaharaReporters on Monday, Sowore, Ejimakor, Prince Emmanuel, and the others were seen exiting the prison with their belongings while singing a solidarity song.
DAILY POST reported that Ejimakor fainted and was taken to the Kuje Prison clinic for medical care.
