Identified by event organizers only as Ross, the patriotic parachutist had planned to do a routine jump which involved him coming in with an American-flag parachute while flying a huge flag behind him.
All eyes were on him as he soared across the blue skies above the rodeo venue with the gigantic red, white, and blue flag in tow.
However, disaster struck as Ross lined up for landing in the middle of the arena.
On his descent, the weight holding down the flag clipped and got tangled in a tree.

Ross then plummets face-first into a crowded tent, with his parachute hitting spectators in the stand.
He crashed through the roof of the tent causing it to collapse as shocked attendees raced to help.
Despite the heart-stopping incident, no injuries have been reported.
“On behalf of the Folsom Pro Rodeo and Choose Folsom, our skydiver Ross is safe and walked into our arena, post jump to a standing ovation,” organizers said.
They also confirmed that he performed the stunt again on Friday night.
The flag-bearing skydiver is a traditional part of the iconic Fourth of July rodeo event which is now in its 65th year.
