Lifeguards pulled the unconscious body of Aaron Keightley, 29, from the sea south of the central beach in Skegness, Lincolnshire, at around 3.30pm on Monday.

It was reported that he had gotten into difficulty in the surf.

Despite the best efforts of lifeguards to resuscitate Aaron and save his life, he tragically died at the scene.

A fundraiser has been setup in Aaron’s honour by his sibling on GoFundMe, aiming to collect £2,200 to help the family.

The message reads: “On 30/06/2025 my brother lost his whole future, he went on his first friends holiday and lost his life to the sea on Skegness beach.

“The current took him so quickly and there is no fight against the sea.”;
