THIS is the shocking moment a mountain guide attacks a climber on a 10,000ft high tiny ledge.

The man had confronted the guide for barging past his wife as she navigated a precarious position up an mountain.

The two climbers can be seen making their way down the mountain, with the man letting his wife down the mountain first.

She lowers herself down a rope when an Austrian guide forces himself between the couple and barges past.

The Polish climber said he had deliberately left extra space for his wife when the guide suddenly moved into the gap.

He can be heard telling the Austrian guide: “I should go first, shouldn’t I?”

But the guide replies: “No, no, no,”

He squeezes past the man’s wife on a narrow ledge, and encourages his group to do the same.

The climber confronts the guide, shouting: “Hey, are you out of your mind or what?”

He responds: “I’m a mountain guide, shut up!”

The argument escalates, with the Polish climber putting his middle finger up at the guide and calling him a “f***ing idiot”.

The Austrian guide then threatens: “Shut up, or I’ll come up and punch you.”

He can be seen charging back up the mountain, barging past the man’s wife again as he does so.

The guide grabs the climbers hands and gets in his face, yelling “Behave yourself”.

The confrontation took place on August 22 as both groups descended an exposed section of the Mürztalersteig route on Grossglockner.

The Polish climber shared the footage online, calling the guide “aggressive and confrontational”.

He said overtaking on the mountain was routine, but said this guide had endangered everyone around him.

He wrote that a professional guide should show “basic courtesy, good judgement and, above all, responsibility”, adding: “The mountains are for everyone, regardless of their experience, skills or pace.

“Mutual respect and consideration should always come first.”
