LORRAINE Kelly has revealed the ‘prickly’ A-list guest who stormed off set after a harmless interview question.

Speaking to Lizzie Dent, on the Experience is Everything Podcast, said: “A million years ago, if people can remember, he was a movie director.”

“Notoriously difficult,” added Lizzie speaking about Film director and newspaper columnist Michael Winner.

: “Prickly to say the least. He was on and he actually stormed out during the break, which was a shame because nobody got to see him.

“He was sitting there talking about some movie he was doing…and he’d just had a triple heart bypass.

“I happened to say, you know during the break, Gosh how are you doing? Are you alright? Have you recovered? Are you still having to take medication?”

he got angry at her and said he wasn’t there to talk about his health, took his microphone off and “buggered off.”

: “I thought oh that’s a shame he didn’t do it on air because that would have been quite funny.”

died aged 77 in January 2013, 16 months after marrying his wife Geraldine.

Born in Hampstead, London in 1935, he directed more than 30 films, including Scorpio and A Chorus of Disapproval.

Paying tribute to her husband at the time, Geraldine said: “Michael was a wonderful man, brilliant, funny and generous.

“A light has gone out in my life.”
